Medals and awards have been given to the winners!
You asked for it, so we've now included live tweets as they come in.
Goalkeepers now have gloves.
The player who is currently in the lead to win the Golden Boot award - for most goals scored at the World Cup - is now highlighted. David Villa and Wesley Sneijder are both currently tied on 5 goals and with their countries facing off in the final on Sunday it looks to be a great race to lift the award!
Captains are now recognised with their captain's armbands!
We've added links to the Twitter accounts of players we know use Twitter - look out for the icon next to their names. See what they have to say about the World Cup so far and remember you can help your favourite players climb the leaderboard just by posting a tweet with their name in it!
Check out the new substitutes listing - this lets you see which players/managers are close to making the top 11.
We've updated the site with a new look - hope you like it! Tweets containing players names are now matched on the accented version and the unaccented version. E.g. Kaka and Kaká are both counted towards the total tweets. The totals refresh automatically so watch out for the number of tweets increasing and players swapping positions in the leaderboard! As the site is still very much experimental we recommend using Firefox or Chrome to see the site at its best!
We all love a bit of banter, but Football banter is the language of champions. That's why for the 2010 Football World Cup in South Africa we've created a "Twitter mashup" and we're going to rank the world's social commentary on the players, teams and managers right here!
So if your team's suffered a travesty, the manager fields a right muppet or players are involved in a sex scandal, we'll rank them here using Twitter keywords - the more tweets the higher the ranking.
'Fancy Pants' is an experimental project to allow teams of people, from throughout different areas of the business, to think up inspirational ideas and have the time, support and help to make these come to life.
Tweet World Cup lives in a 'Beta' world where updates and tweaks are made on an ongoing basis, so your feedback, no matter what you have to say is very important to us.
You can also follow us on Twitter @TweetWC or visit our Facebook Page. Watch out for more Fancy Pants Projects in the near future.
